Pieces on the board

This is quite an old shoot but still one I love a lot, just for the fact that it was my first time working with a fashion designer (Alexis Montrose) and the deplorable state of the studio I had to do this in. I saw it as a proof of how much I had improved as a photographer that I was able to pull off the lighting.

His inspiration for the range was chess. I’ve listed which pieces each garment represented with their images.

I absolutely loved the model for the Knight, it was amazing how she could stay en-pointe. Apparently for the fashion show she walked the whole run way on her tippy-toes! Would’ve loved to see that!
